Holidays at Home, From My Family to Yours, Happy Holidays!!

Headed to the airport as my alter ego lol (CODY)!

Growing up in Michigan as a kid holidays in general, especially Christmas time was always special and filled with memories of family being together to celebrate! Family dinners at my Granny house were always the best we all gathered together and the house was filled with so much laughter, music, (a little family drama here and there of course), good food, but most importantly LOVE! As we get older the holidays become less about us and more about the kids in our lives, putting a smile on their faces watching them open gifts, and being able to experience Christmas through their eyes. Well, this year for Christmas I wanted to do something a bit different, something that as a family, my family hasn’t done in a while. I decided that this year we would do a family holiday photoshoot, of course this is something that I enjoy doing so putting it together was fun for me to do.

I decided to shoot in early October to give us time to get the holiday photos done and decide which ones we liked the most out of the shots. From there get them edited and also have some of the photos turned into holiday cards to be sent out to family and friends. So Friday October 6th, 2023, I flew home to Michigan, in which my flight was delayed three times (of course it was Spirit), I didn’t end up getting home until well after one o’clock in the morning, so I got straight in bed once I got in from the airport. That morning I had to take my tuxedo back to Men’s Warehouse because the pants was too short (we did formal photos and pajamas photos). There was so many favorite moments from this shoot to take in, seeing my three ladies (Mom, Sister,Niece)  glammed up, my nephew wearing a tuxedo for the first time, or just seeing my parents look so good dressed up and staring at each other with love in their eyes.

We shot with photographer Daniel “Dee” Hughes one of the best photographers in Michigan, his professionalism and eye for photography is just what we needed for this shoot!
