Well it’s official I’m at the age where loud music irritates me in a social setting, and things like buying a new coffee pot excites me! While this birthday will be different not hearing from my Grandmother, I know she’s going to be celebrating with me still being that her and my mother both gave birth to they’re second son on March 8th, my Uncle Toney and I share the same birthday. This year my birthday will be somewhat low key I haven’t planned a whole lot maybe dinner and brunch with some friends. I can say this as I get older ever year, before my I feel a change coming over me and there’s a positive shift or enlightenment on a certain aspect of my life, and I can gladly say that I am enjoying the feeling I have over me walking into 45. I’ve been practicing being more patient, I think becoming a teacher has definitely helped me with that, because so much patience is needed when dealing with other peoples kids!
Aside from getting joy in purchasing new electronics, I find solace in alone time and learning to meditate. I am ready for Chapter 45 and all it has to offer! This year I plan to try things I never tried before, while also challenging myself to become a better man, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. I have a list of personal goals, I plan to tackle as well but I have to keep some of those to myself, but I promise to share soon as I see fit. Oh and did I mention that I’m ready for love (that is not an open invitation btw lol) I am definitely ready to give it shot again!
