March Brings Good Things To Come

As I sit here writing this blog post today is Sunday, February 28th, 2021. So many things are running through my mind about life in general. I’m days away from yet another trip around the sun (March 8th) and with every birthday comes the acceptance of getting older. What makes this year different, well so much has happened since may last birthday which the last free to move about without masks Sunday before the pandemic set in, and shut the whole damn world down. I’m sure no one wants to relive last year so I won’t dwell on that disaster of a year but instead I want to think about all the good things in store for 2021.

Good Things To Come

As we approach this first quarter of the yeah I’m so grateful for so many things, I recently went home to Michigan for a quick turn around trip just to pop in on my maternal grandparents. My grandfather who recently turned 90 on Christmas Day and is the coolest 90yr old on earth. Then there’s my heart my Granny who’s birthday is three days after, December 28th, who turned 85! I’m so bless to still have them in my life and even more blessed to have been able to go see them just for a bit with all that is going on.

Fast forward to just this past Friday night I had a really big scare which had me broke down for a bit. I got a call from my god-sister that my godson had been shot. He’s my second oldest and a young man trying to figure out who he is, and his place in this world as we all were doing at 21. He’s doing fine and recovering now but I couldn’t imagine losing my baby boy (yes Mal you will always be my baby and there’s nothing you can do about it). God was truly watching over him and kept him here for a reason and I hope that he sees that. We Love You Malcolm!

As for me I’m looking forward to my birthday and I think this will be a very chill and lowkey one. I don’t plan on doing a whole lot probably go out to dinner or something. I will also be releasing my first episode of, “The TaLL TaLLk Podcast”, on my birthday so please take time to listen and support also leave reviews on what ever platform you listen to your podcast on, I’m looking forward to this podcasting experience and so much more good things to come.
