June 1, 2017 I had the pleasure of being included in the cast of Grammy Award winning, gospel artist Le’Andria Johnson’s video for her brand new single, “All I Got” from her highly anticipated forthcoming album “Bigger Than Me”!
This was the first video set that I’ve been on in some years. On the way to set I listened to the song on repeat and immediately fell in love with the track. After arriving at the video’s first location and hearing the synopsis from video director Derek Blanks and his crew, I loved the song even more.
The song and video is a dedication to the memory of Le’Andria’s brother Gregory A. Johnson who died on November 12th, 2016. Through the video you will be taken on a journey with Le’Andria as she reminisces about the past. Along her walk she’s reminded of her brother by crossing paths with brown skin, bearded men, that resemble her of Gregory. While on set overnight I learned that June 2nd, the second day of the shoot was Gregory’s birthday, which gave the song lyrics a deeper connection and more than likely the source of strength that kept Le’Andria going for this two day shoot, “Keep putting one foot in front of the other, clinging to yesterday will just make you suffer”, shooting a video on his birthday had to be hard, but you never would’ve known by her beautiful spirit!
I enjoyed being a part of this production and shooting my cameo! Be sure to check out the video and pick up a copy of the new album, “Bigger Than Me”, July 21st, 2017!!!!!
Thank you Le’Andria, Derek, and Crew!!!!
