The TALLK: The Coach

Cousins are ready made friends, you share laughs with them, they hold your secrets, and remember good times from childhood, you have fights with them but you always know you love each other without a doubt, some may even say they are better than brothers, sisters, and friends but that’s because their all pieced together as one.
In my first interview session of "The TALLK", I wanted to shoot with and interview my cousin who’s also a brother/friend all in one. He’s always been the family comedian, while I was a little more serious yet still able to keep up with him. We have our own private jokes, words, or sometimes its just a look we can give each other and automatically bust out laughing. I love this guy to the moon and back….. So here it goes, "The TALLK", featuring Bert Mosley!!!

Name: Bert Mosley
Age: 36
Height: 6’6"
Occupation: Hair Stylist/Basketball Coach/Personal Trainer
Bert since I already know you very well can you give my readers a introduction of who you are?
I am a former basketball player. Now I work as a hairstylist, basketball coach, and personal trainer. I am a father of three children Trebron (which is my name spelled backwards), Chloe and Malachi.
When was the first time you realized you were tall?
I realized I was tall in grade school. I was always the tallest kid in class.
How did your height make you different?
My height made it extremely difficult to shop for clothes! It seems like shorter people have more options. I also think my height helped me excel in sports and gave me the confidence to be mentally prepared for sports.
What’s the most annoying question you get asked as as tall person?
How tall are you?
Do you think being tall impacted your life differently than others?
Being tall definitely impacted my life because it automatically makes me to stand out. It’s really hard to blend in sometimes!
What are some of your biggest challenges when it comes to shopping?
My biggest challenge when it comes to shopping is finding clothes that actually fit! I’m a tall lean guy and most clothes made for taller men are usually cut for wider heavier men. I have to be creative and selective when shopping otherwise I’ll end up wasting money.

How would you describe your style?
I think I have a smooth casual style. I like to do a lot without doing too much, if that makes any sense! LoL! I believe from top to bottom it’s important that each item you are wearing demands some attention when people see you, so I try to blend colors and textures in different ways to be unique.
What are some brands that you always wear?
I own about 50 pairs Levi’s. Those are my favorite jeans beacuse I’m able to switch my fit depending on the cut of the jeans. Nike, Jordan, Calvin Klein, and Kenneth Cole. I’m really not picky though, if it looks good and fit good I’ll rock it.

Ok so in this section I let three women readers pick questions to ask you.
1. Is monogamy realistic?
Monogamy is definitely realistic.
2. What trend would you like to wear, but you think you’re too tall to pull off?
I’m not one to follow trends. So many things that are trending nowadays doesn’t fit my style. I like to do my own thing.
3. What three things do you tell you all girl JV basketball team to set them up as successful female athletes?
1. Work hard
2. Be responsible
3. Follow their dreams

Whats one of your fondest memories from our childhood?
The best part of my childhood was growing up with cousins that were like brothers and sisters to me. We used to have so much fun and still do to this day whenever we are together.
